BLOCK Transformatoren-Elektronik GmbH is committed to its social and environmental responsibility. We expect our suppliers to use only conflict-free minerals in the production of goods supplied to us. This includes tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold, which must not be sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries such as Angola, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Uganda, unless they come from certified smelters.
This commitment is based on international agreements, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which governs the responsible sourcing of conflict minerals. Furthermore, we expect our suppliers to avoid sourcing materials from sanctioned regions, such as steel from Russia.
Our suppliers are required to provide evidence, upon request, that the products supplied to us are free from conflict minerals. This requirement is a condition for cooperation with BLOCK.
