Inauguration of our new production site in China!
A tripling of the demand for BLOCK products, a growth in the number of employees by more than 200 percent, our own development department at the production site – evidence of a successful market entry for our Chinese sister company. In order to be able to adequately meet this rapid company growth, the next step for BLOCK Electronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was clear: an expansion of the site.
May 30, 2023 was the big day and the new production site halls were officially inaugurated. The festive opening event was attended by the management of BLOCK Transformatoren-Elektronik GmbH. For the welcome speech, the Head of Industrial Promotion of Kunshan stepped up to the microphone to greet the guests and congratulate BLOCK on this growth step. This event was duly celebrated with all employees and long-standing business partners and marked another important milestone in our global corporate development.
BLOCK has been active in the Chinese market for three years with BLOCK Electronics (Kunshan) and its own manufacturing site. In 2019, the first production site was officially opened and production started on Chinese soil. Started with a single production line of reactors, the portfolio grew rapidly over the few years, so that today a variety of transformers, reactors, power supplies and circuit breakers form the portfolio of BLOCK Electronics Kunshan.
All products meet international standards and meet the highest quality requirements, so that this capacity expansion in Kunshan is also a gain for BLOCK's European customers.With state-of-the-art technology – same as at the sites in Germany and the USA – and a highly qualified workforce, BLOCK Electronics (Kunshan) will be able to meet the increasing demand for electronic components in the region and nationwide at the new production site in the future. The opening of the new site not only represents a significant milestone in our global operations, but also emphasizes our commitment to providing world-class products and services to our customers worldwide.

The management in Germany and the management in China are convinced that the new production site will help to continue the strong growth of the company globally. Chinese television also did not miss this success story and was already on site during the construction phase to conduct interviews with General Manager Xiaoyu Alex Meng and the Managing Director responsible for the site, Udo Leonhard Thiel.
